This holy monastery is very often regarded as the Polish focus of pilgrim’s journeys. Each single year it is visited by the great deal of believers who come to beg the Saint Mary for Her mercy. It’s worth to mention that Her blessed symbol in the Jasna Góra Monastery is believed to own some unexplained fortunate quality.
She is named the Black Madonna of Częstochowa. The cloister was situated in the historic period, in 1382 by the group of Hungarian monks. Subsequently the symbol of Saint Mary with young Jesus Christ was imported from Russia. From that time on it became commonly known among the monks but also the plunderers.
It is believed that it was the Virgin Mary who assisted to rescue the monastery at the time of the Swedish penetration on the Jasna Gora Monastery. This historic, symbolical setting makes this place extensively glorious and revered by Catholic believers.
